I've been planning things more than usual. Been thinking things through and setting goals. Is it normal to feel more mature than you used to be? I thought that was one of those things which you don't notice.

lets do this

I am in a weird funk today. It seems to be working for me though. I've been throwing ideas around all day for projects while writing cover letters for more permanent jobs.

Thinking of drawing this on my wall.

Think of remaking my comic website to look like this.

Eli came over today and we had a productive work and conversation about art. I am so desperate some days for any type of dialogue about creative material that when someone responds it is like a ray of molten lava being poured in my eyes. In a good way.

Delegates

I spent an interesting dinner sitting down with a couple guys who are running for state delegate courtesy of my roommate who organizes events for these officials trying to reach out to the community. It was amazing how few people showed up for the event and it impressed me of how nice the delegates were. Made me hope for the system in general. It is amazing how if you take a little effort I am sure you can meet with a few of the people who are running on the local level and decide in that meeting whether you want to vote for them.

Healthcare

I have no idea how my health insurance works.

I thought I got two visits a year for general check ups. Apparently no. I thought I paid 30 dollars for checkup. No again. I just had a phone call with a rep and I really think there is another Kian McKellar out there because nothing he said matched what I knew. The sad thing is that I don't want to get a new health plan because it takes so long to apply for one. Can't someone just take me out back and tell Jimmy that I went to a better place?

I have to say I keep toying with changing the art. All comes down to time. Still amazingly fun to do but I need to build up a back log so I can work on it in spare moments unlike the crazy rush I put myself through to get it done every Monday.

I wanted to know if anyone would pay 50 dollars for the humidifier in the center. Appears to be a plastic soda bottle. That is some great recycling right there.

Whip It!

Saw "Whip It!" and I enjoyed it. Had a lot of great messages about kid's relationships with their parents and girls with their boyfriends. While it is a very traditional story of coming of age and a sports movie in many ways, it breaks from that in very important places.

Why is this important you ask? This is vital because at that age I think I had a hard time seeing the subtle grays of life. Someone is either wrong or right and there is nothing in between and this movie pointed out those states of in between. Still had its cliches but they were enjoyable cliches so whatever.

Work

I worked off and on for a freelance job today. Probably from roughly 9am to midnight. It was a tedious project which no one will pay attention to. I had TONS of fun. Oh and signed up for a twitter. Sadly to get screen shots for the project but now I just might use it.

Thank You Note

My girlfriend mailed me a thank you letter for her birthday present. After the good feeling wore off I started wondering if I was supposed to sent her a card. Do'h.

Sometimes you have to wonder why

Sometimes, when I least expect it, I get a file labeled Docx. Than my life is miserable. Why, oh why, Microsoft?
